Eight years ago, Maya Risteska discovered her calling in permanent makeup when she experienced the transformative power of eyeliner tattooing firsthand. What started as personal fascination quickly evolved into professional mastery. With over 23 years in makeup artistry and 6 years building her permanent makeup empire, Maya has walked every step of the journey – from struggling beginner to award-winning master artist.

As the founder of Beauty Bliss Permanent Makeup Studio and Academy and a board-certified member of the American Academy of Micropigmentation, Maya has trained hundreds of aspiring PMU artists. Through countless hours of teaching, she witnessed the same challenges over and over: new artists struggling with color theory, intimidated by pigment mixing, and overwhelmed by complex formulations.
